"The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" This book is about a 14 year old named Junior, he is a Spokane Indian living on a reservation. Living on a reservation he has few opportunities to peruse his dreams and desires. Junior had a variety of different physical disabilities. Junior decided to pursue his dreams and transfer to a private white school. He doesn't have any friends at his new school and he gets isolated from the reservation due to attending a white school. Junior makes friends eventually and opens up to them about his struggles while they do the same. Junior makes the Varsity basketball team but soon looses and game against his reservation school. Following traumatic events happen after, including his grandmothers death and the death of his dad's best friend. His sister dies in a fire and he soon reconnects with his childhood friends.
